Kim’s 10+ years in fitness has led her to hold almost every job that a traditional gym offers- a certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor, marketing director, even janitor! But The Studio story began in a church basement (that had no air conditioning) where Kim began teaching kickboxing for extra cash when her husband was laid off. Her clientele grew and Kim sought out to find a nice facility (perhaps something with air conditioning) that could accommodate. When there wasn’t any space in town that would allow her students to work out without signing a lengthy gym contract… she built one!
After months of creating the unique credit purchasing system and building the website she opened the first Fit Studio, www.NampaFitStudio.com, in June of 2010. Since then, The Studio has become home to over 2,000 registered users and 12 of the top instructors in the Valley. Kim feels that every day there is a chance to grow and try something new, both in business and in fitness. She plans to open more Fit Studio’s in the future and fill them with incredible instructors and amazing students- just like the first one!
